Abiotic factors are nonliving. These factors are what shape ecosystems. Some abiotic factors are: air, water, soil, sunlight, temperature, and climate. So essentially just components that affect other living things.

While abiotic factors are nonliving, biotic factors ARE living. These factors are everything that lives in an ecosystem that are affected by abiotic factors. For example, in an ocean environment, the fish and coral and other living things are the biotic factors.
